Ant stand "Treasures of the Desert - 2"
The stand is populated by a colony of African predatory ants Camponotus fellah. These are some of the largest ants in the world, with soldiers reaching almost 2 centimeters in size.
Natural minerals were used in the production of the stand, including untreated rubies, aquamarine, smoky quartz, citrine, crystalline calcite, fluorite, amber and others. Fluorescent compounds were developed and used, allowing for bright light effects under ultraviolet illumination, as well as residual glow in complete darkness.
