In the Tropical Complex "Mindo", in the hall of the Garden of Live Butterflies, there are 3 completely different ponds, one aquarium of 800 liters with a two-sided view and several more aquariums of smaller volume. In all the reservoirs there live about 30 varieties of aquatic and amphibious inhabitants, the main part of which is presented in this catalog.

The first pond - the turtle pond - as the name suggests, is completely populated by water turtles. In the center of the pond there is an island, on which heating, lighting and ultraviolet are specially equipped for turtles, which together give the effect of bright sunlight. And the turtles living in the pond, use this option with pleasure. Sometimes the entire colony, it must be said, more than 30 individuals up to 30 cm in size, climbing on each other, get out to their favorite island to stretch out their heads and paws just to sunbathe and bask under the artificial, but such a gentle Sun of Mindo. The turtle pond of the Tropical Complex "Mindo" is also equipped with a glass wall, which makes it possible to observe the life of the turtle colony "from the inside".

The second pond - the central one - is the largest pond of our Complex. In the center you can cross it by a bridge, and along its entire circumference you can walk along a path. From the bridge it is especially interesting to watch the fish swimming below, and there is something to see! In the central pond of the Garden of Living Butterflies "Mindo" live Japanese koi carp, several species of catfish, including a rather rare upside-down catfish, which poti always swims belly up and large brocade catfish, astronotus and cichlids from Africa. But the main owners of the central pond are the Red-tailed catfish, about half a meter long, and the same size freshwater rare stingray Motoro.

The third pond is a slightly swampy body of water on the ruins of an ancient fortress. White albino frogs, black spiny newts, and various fish from Africa and South America have long settled in it. Depending on the season, you can see various aquatic and underwater vegetation in this pond. But perhaps the most interesting inhabitants are the sturgeons that have recently arrived at our Complex. It is a pleasure to watch these fish, which are very similar to sharks.

The Tropical Complex "Mindo" invites everyone to get acquainted with the constantly expanding collection of aquatic inhabitants of the tropics and beyond!
