It all started, as always, with something small - at the very beginning of our first Garden of Live Butterflies in St. Petersburg, visitors brought us a guinea pig and offered to settle it in the Garden. We accepted it, and after some time, in the same way, we got a second pig, and a happy couple of animals were formed. In the wonderful climatic conditions of the Garden of Live Butterflies "Mindo", the animals quickly brought forth their first offspring, which, in turn, prompted us to equip places for other mammals and reptiles. Soon, turtles, chameleons, Chilean squirrels and even a water agama settled in our museum of living nature.

For each of our residents, we create the best conditions so that our entire tropical family feels the most wonderful, everyone is well-fed, has bright light, warmth, good nutrition and space.

We ask all visitors to remember that the Tropical Complex "Mindo" is not a petting zoo, you can't touch or handle anyone here, because this greatly exhausts the animals and dramatically shortens their lifespan. On the contrary, we create conditions for all animals in which they feel as close as possible to the conditions in their homeland, which, in turn, gives the guests of the complex the opportunity to see them as they really are, as in nature.
